Description

This spider skillet is in stunningly remarkable condition for its age. Most spider skillets have been put the ravages of time. The skillet looks like it was never really used. There is no utensil scoring at all and the few blemishes seen in the photos appear from when it was cast. They are undetectable to the touch as you glide your fingers over a near glass smooth cooking surface. Exterior surface is in great condition as well. I have seen other size of this skillet, but you would be very hard pressed to find a better example. No chips, cracks or repairs. Item was stripped down to bare metal using collector approved lye bath and electrolysis treatments. This process ensures the removal all residue from previous use making it safe to use once more. Item is lightly seasoned with one round of Crisco at 450 for 1 hours. This item was photographed in very bright light to highlight fine details. Under these lighting conditions, item may take on a brown color. Items are much darker under normal light. Photos are part of the item’s description.
