Description
This is an uncommon advertising skillet produced by Griswold for the Cleveland Flux Co. This pan dates to the mid-1950s and in fully restored condition. The cooking surface has patches of fine etching from corrosion with hint of utensil scores. Only the etching towards the out edges can be felt as you glide you fingers over a near glass smooth surface. Two sheets of printer paper slipped under the bottom edge stops movement on a polished granite surface. No chips, cracks, or repairs. Test for flatness of skillet. With the skillet resting on a polished granite surface, press down all along the top rim searching for movement. If movement is found, slip pieces of printer paper under one edge of the until pot stops moving. This item is from an old collection and was cleaned and seasoned, then stored for many years. Because the item was stored for many years, there may be spots of light surface rust. This can generally be washed away then re-seasoned before use. This item is photographed in very bright light to highlight fine details. Under these lighting conditions, item may take on a brown color. Item is much darker under normal light. Photos are part of the item’s description. Please use them for a clearer understanding of the items’ overall condition.
