Vintage Detroit USA Nickel Plated #8 Cast Iron Skillet…it’s very rare to find this piece with most of the plating in place. Flaking plating will not affect cooking, the fully plated back with only minor imperfections is perfect for display. This piece is believed to be manufactured by Detroit Stove Works nearly 100 yrs ago. They are difficult to find, especially with the plating intact. This piece quickly became the centerpiece of my cast iron display! The bright nickel finish is an eye-catcher! She is a beautiful pan. This piece sits flat on glass with only a slight wobble and doesn’t spin. The intact plating leads me to believe it was lightly used.
