Up for auction is a number 5 Ugly Hammered cast-iron skillet. If you’ve never handled one of these ugly hammered skillets before, they are quite heavy for their size. 3.6lbs. This one has the slightest of ticks when pressing at 3 o’clock on the pan surface. In index card is actually too thick when attempting to level the pan out. The pan has no cracks or repairs. The pan does not spin. As you can see from the pictures, the bottom of the pan has a casting flaw. The cooking surface of the pan is excellent. I stripped this pan down to bare iron with an electrolysis tank. I oiled the pan with grapeseed oil, but did not season it. I’ll leave that to whoever purchases the pan.
