Late 19th C Majolica Ring-necked Pheasant Planter/Vase in pristine condition - with no visible flaws. On the bottom: Jerome Massier Fils, Vallauris A.M., France. With “Fils” meaning “son of,” this planter was crafted by Jean Baptiste Massier (Fr. 1850-1916), son of Jerome Massier. The piece is 8 inches tall, and 13 inches diagonally from head to tail. A much taller Rooster spill vase with same markings sold in 2014 for $4,600 (per Worthpoint).
