Rare Handsome Antique Art Nouveau Hyacinth Vase in Striking Yellow and Red Rare Art Nouveau hyacinth vase we found in the city of Niort in the Deux Sevres département of France about 15 years ago and have decided to sell. It has a striking yellow and red pattern and feels quite heavy (actual weight is just under 1 pound, 2 ounces avoirdupois). Height is 5¼ inches while diameter is about 4⅜ inches. Hyacinth vases were used to force the flowers into early blooming inside the house. They are very decoerative and were made from Georgian times in England, France, and other countries. This is in very good antique condition with only almost imperceptable surface blemishes which we are just noting for the record. We have photographed the piece form multiple angles so that you can get an idea of its chaeracter.
