Description

This beautiful urn-shaped vase is a rare find for collectors of antique decorative pieces. Created by German artist Hugo Lonitz circa 1875-1904, this piece features a delicate guardian angels in foliage pattern in pastel colors. There are 4 guardian angels wrapped around the vase, almost as to “protect” what’s inside. Crafted from Majolica (tin-glazed painted pottery), this medium-sized vase stands at 13 inches tall and 9 inches wide. Condition is good for its age but it does have some blemishes. Inside rim has some flaking of the glaze and there a few surface chips on the angels . Gold finish is rubbing off in a couple places but it doesn’t take anything away from the beauty of this piece.
