Description

For auction is a nice Art Deco vase made by The Roseville Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The pattern or glaze is known as "Tourmaline". The vase has some size as it stands 8 1/8" tall and is 4" at the bottom. The vase displays a twist form with a slightly bulbous. The glaze is a very unique glaze for the Tourmaline line of art pottery. I call this a Gloss Mottled Butterscotch as that is the color it reminds me of. Some call it yellow to orange. The glaze has the deeper butterscotch glaze color along the ribs, top lip, and bottom edge, This is the same shape as Roseville's Futura 425-8" vase. The Tourmaline Glaze is a solid color tone where a Futura vase has a leaf form dropping down from the top lip in a pink Salmon color. This vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks nicks, chips or dings. The vase is not signed but it is known as A-425-8" shape in the Tourmaline line. This is the shape number in the Tourmaline line cataloged by Roseville Pottery. This vase is rarely found in this Butterscotch Glaze. Those of you who collect Tourmaline and want a really nice, rare example, Look no further!! This is an excellent example of the Tourmaline glaze. This vase was made circa 1933. PLEASE READ BELOW I want to apologize for slowing down my shipping time. Ebay forced me into managed payments in July of this year 2020. I used to get my money in 24 hours. I now get it in 3-4 business days. I was told it would be better for me and my fees would go down. This has been the opposite as my fees have actually increased and now it takes longer for me to receive the payments . Because of this slowdown I will not ship until the payment has made it into my bank account. No store lets you out of the building with the merchandise unless it is paid for. They are also n ow charging all sellers a commission of 12.35% on sales tax. Pay Pal used to charge 2.9% payment processing fee but Ebay has changed this to 12.35%. This is an increase of 9.45% on the sales tax portion. They are now making a profit on the sales tax and treating it as a sale which in my eyes is wrong!! They did the same on the shipping charges several years ago. They use to not charge anything and now they are charging 12.35% commission on shipping as well. This has raised the cost to ship items to you, the buyer and this is factored into my shipping charges. If you feel what Ebay is doing is wrong or you don't agree them please contact Ebay and voice your opinion. Maybe if enough of you do this, they will change their policy.
