Description

This original Grazia Necklace Hand Pendant Vase was designed by Stig Lindberg and produced by Gustavsberg in Sweden. Lindberg worked for Gustavsberg from 1937-1980 and created the Grazia series in the early 1950s. This vase from that series features a stylized hand pendant on a chain. The hand has from its fingertips various blooming flowers. This design is hard to find and doesn't show up on the market very often. The Grazia pieces are defined by a Carrara type glaze with stylized silver designs applied over the glaze. The dimensions for this Gustavsberg Vase are approximately 6 inches (15.25 cm) in height by 2.5 inches (6.35 cm) wide. It weighs about 11.5 oz (323 gm.). The identifying marks on the bottom are Made in Sweden with a stylized anchor followed by Gustavsberg Grazia 218 Y. The vase is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The decoration is in very good condition with only a couple of spots on the upper silver edging that are weak, either from age or from original application.
