Stunning pair of large (11" tall) antique (~1800's) blue art glass vase , square shape Hand-painted cute birds and flowers, leaves, heavy gold gilt Beautiful pieces !!! Excellent condition , with no chips, no cracks or hairlines. Gold is mostly intact. Thick glass, all hand-made, rough but silky smooth bottom (see pictures) feels solid and antique. Very nice. Exact age unknown . From style, technique and colors it looks 1800s ( or maybe earlier...) French or German. If light is shone at the right angle it can light up the whole vases through the heavy gold. Or, if placed at the right place , the blue glass looks so delightfully translucent . Large: 11" tall (see 2nd last picture, next to a regular 500ml water bottle) Base: 4x4" Rare and unique . A great center piece to decorate you home !
