IMPORTANT 1935 SIGNED CARSTENS ART POTTERY CABINET VASE This elegantly refined wheel-thrown and hand painted vase with abbreviated mouth rim, broad shoulder and sharply tapered body is a dramatic departure from slip-molded ceramic vessels of pre-WWII Carstens, Brandenburg manufacture. Beautifully decorated with aqua and pale purple/gray colors under a thick glaze. Incised "5-10-35" "CARSTENS" "10" "Gray" within the wide unglazed ring foot. Pristine condition!
