Vintage Pre-Griswold "ERIE" No. 9 Cast Iron Skillet STAR SYMBOL Clean & Nice! VGC! This sale is for the very nice Vintage Pre-Griswold "ERIE" No. 9 Cast Iron Skillet STAR SYMBOL! Clean Nice & Smooth! Very good condition, no chips, cracks or rusting, Very light wear and some tiny voids in the casting on cooking surface, very slight movement. See photos. The Skillet measures 11 1/4 inches in diameter 2 1/4 inches tall and weighs 4 pounds 13 ounces. The Skillet is cleaned for collector consideration and is unseasoned for profession chefs who prefer to use their own methods. Please view photos carefully, the pictures were taken outdoors in sunlight and the iron will be a darker gray to black when indoors. We usually have several cast iron cookware items for sale on eBay along with other interesting estate items so please check out our other listings. Please note we only clean cast iron cook ware that needs it. If the seasoning is good we will offer the item that way. Our cleaning is done by electrolysis, then soft wire brushed and steel wooled. Then it is washed clean and giving a thin coat of digestible mineral oil for preservation. It takes a long time to clean these old items but one can clearly see the defects if any.
