Hand Painted Porcelain Vase Rare German Landscape Art Nouveau Pastel Lichte 1900 Hand Painted Porcelain Vase Rare German Landscape Art Nouveau Pastel Lichte 1900 We are currently offering for sale this lovely hand painted Art Nouveau porcelain large vase hand painted landscape scene vase in pastel colors and glazed. This is a rare piece as the mark was only used by the company for a short period of time. Its decoration depicts a landscape scene by Lichte. The painting is detailed, well done and in good condition. The colors are are pastels. It is marked with a makers mark used by the Lichte Porcelain Factory in Germany. Numbers impressed in the porcelain are small but appear to read: "2-8" and what appears to be a 0, 178 is scratched into the porcelain and a letter "B" is painted on. It has lovely pastel colors of a sunrise of sunset in pastel colors with a beautiful glaze which can't be fully seen or appreciated in photos. It is best seen in the photo of the vase bottom with the ruler. It strongly resembles a Royal Copenhagen glaze. The vase dates to approx. 1900. It measures 8 inches in height. The mouth of the vase is approx. 2 3/4". It is in excellent condition, not chips, cracks or crazing. The bottom of the vase has some minor wear from sitting on tables and shelves over the past 120 or so years. It was purchased from an estate in Missouri. See photos for complete description.
