Griswold No.8 Cast Iron Skillet Slant Logo with Heat Ring 704 H FULLRESTORED Nice! This Griswold/Erie Cast Iron Skillet #8 is a vintage collectible cookware piece that is perfect for any antique kitchen. With a round shape and black color, this skillet is made of cast iron material and has a large slant logo along with a heat ring. It is compatible with both electric and gas stoves and was manufactured in the United States between 1906-1929. It sits flat on a glass stove top and has no cracks. It is 15 - 1/4" inches long from handle to end 11 - 1/4 wide 2 - 1/8" inches high I use the following process to restore Cast-Iron. I start by putting it in electrolysis bath for 24 to 48 hours. It’s then hand cleaned and any remaining debris removed. It’s rubbed with the first coat of canola oil and put in the oven at 400° for 45 minutes , this process is repeated. Then it is removed and given one final coat and wipe to remove excess oil. Please view the photos for the best description.
